91快活林 will help area high school juniors plan for their futures at Junior Day, starting at 9 a.m. Feb. 15, with a sign-up deadline of Feb. 1. Those interested can sign up at .

Junior Day will feature campus tours, info sessions with admissions, observing the college classroom setting in two areas of interest and scholarship drawings. Most importantly, students and parents can learn the countless benefits of attending Barton prior to attending a four-year college or, if they choose a career path, before entering the workforce.听Two scholarships will be given away for a three-credit-hour face-to-face class with books included.

Director of Admissions Tana Cooper encourages all juniors in the area to attend, even if they intend to go straight to a four-year school.

鈥淩egardless of your plans, our advisors can help you take a detailed look at your future plans, and what courses and career paths you might want to pursue,鈥 she said.听 鈥淚t is a great idea to at least come and visit.鈥

Cooper said there are many students who may not know about Barton and it鈥檚 definitely worth their time to see what Barton has to offer.

鈥淏arton offers many of the same classes as four-year schools, but at about half the cost, and some of Barton鈥檚 career and technical programs take only a year to complete and can lead to a rewarding career,鈥 she said.听鈥淪ome students may already think they are going elsewhere, but it never hurts to come and visit and have a backup plan.听It鈥檚 a fun and free day.鈥
