91快活林 will help area high school juniors plan for their futures at Junior Day, starting at 9 a.m. Feb. 15, with a sign-up deadline of Feb. 1. Those interested can sign up at .
Junior Day will feature campus tours, info sessions with admissions, observation of the college classroom setting in two areas of interest and two scholarship drawings for three-credit-hour face-to-face classes with books included. 听
Director of Admissions Tana Cooper encourages all juniors in the area to attend and experience classes in their intended major.
鈥淲e give them the option of two majors that they are possibly interested in,鈥 Cooper said. 鈥淭his way they get a real life experience of what those classes will be like in the upcoming years.鈥
Cooper said there are many students who may not know about Barton and it鈥檚 definitely worth their time to see what Barton has to offer.
鈥淏arton offers many of the same classes as four-year schools, but at about half the cost and some of Barton鈥檚 career and technical programs take only a year to complete and can lead to a rewarding career,鈥 she said.听鈥淪ome students may already think they are going elsewhere, but it never hurts to come and visit and have a backup plan. It鈥檚 a fun and free day.鈥
