91快活林 has named 327 students to the Dean鈥檚 List for the fall 2019 semester. To qualify for this honor, students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintained a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99 on a 4.0 or "A" letter scale.

The Shafer Art Gallery will unveil the work of Jee Hwang, Assistant Art Professor at Fort Hays State University, with an opening reception for her exhibit Feb. 7听from 6:30 鈥 8 p.m. The reception will feature an artist talk and refreshments. Admission is free. The exhibit will run through Feb. 28.

Gallery Director Dave Barnes said those who see this exhibit will experience art that makes a statement for all levels of art enthusiasts.

The 91快活林 Performing Arts Department will host 鈥淪cholarship Day鈥 auditions on Saturday, Feb.8 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.听Current or prospective students may contact the Music Department to set up a time to audition for music or theatre scholarships or performance awards.听 Awards are available for performing arts majors and non-performing arts majors alike.

91快活林 will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 20. Barton's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery also will be closed. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The 91快活林 Performing Arts Department has announced the cast for the 2020 Spring Musical, Rodgers + Hammerstein鈥檚 鈥淐inderella.鈥 The show will be presented on March 6-8.

Barton Theatre Director Miller James said everyone is hard at work on the show and they welcome volunteers who are handy with a sewing machine, or needle and thread.
