Editors of 91快活林鈥檚 literary journal 鈥淧rairie Ink鈥 invite the public to a launch party for the publication鈥檚 tenth issue from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 in the Cavanaugh Room, in the Learning Resource Center, L116.
The come-and-go social event will include refreshments and live readings from some of the published authors.
The 鈥淧rairie Ink鈥 is intended as a venue for local authors to showcase their creative writing talents.

91快活林 will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 in the Technical Building in room T-186, the Case New Holland Training area. Free 鈥淚 am Humankind鈥 t-shirts will be given to all donors while supplies last.

91快活林 will help area high school seniors plan for their futures at Senior Day, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13, with a sign-up deadline of Oct.听31. Those interested can sign up at听seniorday.bartonccc.edu.

The Barton Visual and Performing Arts Department will host its annual Sneak Preview Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 10 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
The event will feature performances by the Hilltop Singers, Concert Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Prairie Winds Concert Band and Barton Dance Theatre to give the community a peek into what each talented group has in store.

The 91快活林 Theatre Department will present 鈥淭he Diviners,鈥 by Jim Leonard, Jr at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door; students admitted free with a valid student ID.
The play is the story of a disturbed young man and his friendship with a disenchanted preacher in Southern Indiana in the early 1930s.听 This comedic drama highlights well-intentioned friends and neighbors and small-town life.
