91快活林 at Fort Leavenworth celebrated the graduation of 27 students on Wednesday, June 7 at the Lewis and Clark Center at Fort Leavenworth. The ceremony was in conjunction with other schools who are members of the consortium in the Fort Leavenworth Education Center.
One of those graduates was Josef Leo, a recent high school graduate who also earned an Associate of Arts through Barton at the young age of 17.

91快活林 now offers . These new awards will assist students more than before in affording a college education.
Barton Bound Scholarships are available to first-time college students who graduated from a Kansas High School the previous academic year and are Kansas Residents. There are four levels of awards offered based on a student鈥檚 GPA or ACT score: Elite, Excellence, Honor, and Achievement awards.

It鈥檚 darkest before dawn; this is the message of hope Janet David wants to spread with her recent achievement as a 91快活林 graduate. She shared her story with a crowd of her peers at a small ceremony celebrating inductees to two honor societies, Alpha Sigma Lambda and Phi Theta Kappa on Wednesday morning at Fort Riley.

91快活林 will offer free citizenship classes from 10 a.m.-noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 1 at the Center for Adult Education, 1025 Main St., Great Bend in room 208.

91快活林鈥檚 Center for Adult Education will soon be starting its nine-week GED Preparation Class. The orientation day, which is a prerequisite for the course, will be held from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3-7 p.m. on May 25 at 1025 Main St. in Great Bend. The morning class session will begin the following Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and the afternoon class session will meet 3-7 p.m.

The Shafer Gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibit 鈥淢ages鈥 Marine Marvels鈥 by James Mages at 6 p.m. May 25. The show will run through July 19. The exhibit consists of dramatically stylized fish crafted in cast bronze, stainless steel, aluminum and wood surrounded by boldly patterned brilliantly colored posters.
Mages, who earned a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing from Fort Hays State University, has created a visual environment inspired by his passion for sea creatures.
