91快活林 will be closed Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.听
The college is now on summer hours.听 Office hours are 7:30 a.m. 鈥 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.听 The college will be closed on Fridays through August 4.听

Corrigan Bartlett of Maize and Ezekiel Charles of Brooklyn, New York were named 91快活林鈥檚 2017 Outstanding Graduates.听 Dean of Student Services Angie Maddy introduced them and presented their awards, after which they took the opportunity to address their fellow graduates during the college鈥檚 47th commencement ceremony Friday.

The 91快活林 Foundation honored Gary Burke with the 2017 Distinguished Service Award during Barton鈥檚 47th commencement Friday.听听听
The Distinguished Service Award was created in 1981 by the 91快活林 Foundation to recognize individuals who have shown genuine regard for, and have performed outstanding service to 91快活林. The Barton Foundation Board of Directors selects the recipient from nominations received.

Barton recognizes Student Ambassadors of the Year
91快活林 has announced its 2016-17 Brant J. Ballhorst Student Ambassador of the Year awards. Named in memory of Brant J. Ballhorst, the award recognizes two outstanding student ambassadors each year.听 The winners this year were Kendra Jellison of Topeka and Megan Jirak of Marion.听

91快活林 has announced the winners of its Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest.听 The winners are as follows: Allison Peak, Sophie Oss and Thiipong Homuen. Each winner received a $100 Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development gift certificate.

The 91快活林 Theatre Department will host open auditions for its upcoming summer performance of 鈥淭he Contrast鈥 4-6:30 p.m. May 17 and 18 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
鈥淭he Contrast鈥 is a musical based on the first American comedy of the same name written in 1787 by听Royall Tyler. 鈥淭he Contrast鈥 takes a satirical look at the first Americans working to define American culture while still living and enjoying the British lifestyle.
