The Third Annual Original Play Series performance is set for 7:30 p.m. on April 25 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free.

Four original plays were selected from the Barton Theatre Department鈥檚 Original Playwright Contest. The plays are 鈥淎 Humbug of A Parody鈥 by Matthew Castle, 鈥淪unday in the Park with Georgie鈥 by Jaime Abel, 鈥淎liens Anonymous鈥 by Kara Grosfield and 鈥淐hecking Out鈥 by Joseph Doze.

It seems Mother Nature is unsure of what season it is.听 Another 鈥渂omb cyclone鈥 hit the northern Great Plains and the blizzard conditions are scheduled to clip Northwest Kansas with gusty winds and possible storms for parts of the state.听 This is the second bomb cyclone to hit the area in less than thirty. days.听 One is somewhat uncommon out here and in a brief period of time even more so.听 Today, let鈥檚 catch up on some loose ends.

91快活林 will offer transitioning Fort Carson Soldiers, Veterans and family members with DOD ID cards, a grant-funded two-week certificate program at no cost to participants.

The Hazardous Waste Worker Training (HWWT) program gives Soldiers credentials to help them find work after their tenure in the US Army ends. The next course is set from April 29 through May 10 at 5905 MaGrath Avenue BLDG 1282 Fort Carson, Colo.

91快活林 will be closed on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22 for Easter break. Barton's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery will also be closed. The college's regular class schedule and office hours will resume Tuesday, April 23.

91快活林鈥檚 Community Service Organization (CSO) will host a Career Closet Drive as part of the 12th annual Great Bend Job Fest. The drive will run through April 15.

Enjoy an evening of classical music in the sophisticated ambiance of the Shafer Art Gallery with the 91快活林 Orchestra鈥檚 spring concert 鈥淐lassical Ventures鈥 at 7:30 p.m. April 11. Music by famous composers such as Bach, Mozart and more will be performed. The concert is free and open to the public.
