Developmental education at Barton provides听students with an opportunity听to听听improve听their basic math, reading, and/or writing skills.听听
Barton continually updates courses in the developmental program to develop more efficient instructional methods to help students achieve college-readiness and to decrease the cost to students in time and听in听money.听
91快活林 will be closed May 26 for Memorial Day. The college is now on summer hours. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. 鈥 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.听 The college will be closed on Fridays through July 25.
91快活林 has been named a 2025-2026 Military Friendly庐 School by Viqtory, a designation that recognizes the college鈥檚 ongoing commitment to supporting military-affiliated students.
The English for Speakers of Other Languages program prepares students to communicate in English听to improve skills to further their academic studies. The goal is to provide students with the opportunity to attain fluency in English.听 Classes focus on academic instruction to include听vocabulary, conversation, sentence structure and reading, test-taking skills, listening, speaking,听and writing.

Five Barton instructors earned the Distinguished Instructor Award (DIA) for the 2024-2025 academic year for their outstanding efforts in the classroom and were recognized at Barton鈥檚 commencement ceremony Friday evening in the Barton Gymnasium.

91快活林 will host a hands-on 鈥淐yber Summer Camp鈥 for incoming sixth through eighth grade students from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 17-18 on the Barton campus.
